Montana Rep. Debra Lamm and Dr. Karen Effrem, will join Dan this week to discuss Common Core and other radical changes in American education. Both guests have appeared on national television as Common Core experts and Debra recently attended a White House Conference on Education where psychological profiling and limitless record keeping on family and student activities was openly promoted.They will be explaining in detail where the progressive socialists plan to take us with their collectivist school to work programs.
Debra Lamm has been active in politics, and worked in government relations advocating for school choice during the 2011 and 2013 legislative sessions. She is the founder of Montanans Against Common Core, extensively traveling the state to speak to groups of concerned parents, teachers, and business leaders.
In 2014 she successfully ran for Montana House District 60 Representative and served in the legislature as Vice-Chairman of Education. She also served on State Administration and the Local Government Committees. During the interim she serves on the School Funding Study Commission and the Education and Local Government Interim Committee.Debra was appointed as a Commissioner for the Education Commission of the States as Montana's House Representative. She also serves on the Education Standing Committee of the National Conference of State Legislatures, and the Education Committee of the Council of State Governments.
In December 2015, Representative Lamm was invited to the White House for a convening of state education leaders. The US Secretary of Education conveyed the federal priorities and expectations for states.
Dr. Karen Effrem is president of Education Liberty Watch. Dr. Effrem serves on the board for the Alliance for Human Research Protection, and she is also the co-founder and executive director of the Florida Stop Common Core Coalition. She has provided testimony for Congress, as well as in-depth analysis of numerous pieces of major federal education, health, and early childhood legislation for congressional staff, state legislatures, and many organizations.
