Occasionally I decide to invite a guest just because I enjoy interviewing them and want a change in the ongoing message that all hell is breaking loose and we had best be prepared for the end of the world as we know it.
That doesn't mean I'm abandoning my quest to connect the dots for the underinformed. It just means I need a break from the constant negativity of a schizophrenic world. Therefore, my guest this week is the always witty and inherently folksy-funny common lawyer from Moonshine, Illinois………..Brent Allan Winters, esq.
Brent has a way of speaking common sense and undeniable truth in terms that knuckle dragging hillbillies like me find hysterically entertaining. To say that I enjoy these down home conversations is a gross understatement.
So, what will we be talking about during our copious manufacture of intellectual fertilizer?
Just about anything and everything that we find discussion worthy, including our childhoods in rural America in a time when we could afford to be uninformed, naive and innocent.
Sometimes it is much better to say very little when there is very little to say that isn't negative. It's been that kind of week, and I'm ready for some really good news for a change.
I can think of no-one better to convey a message of hope and humor than Brent; therefore my choice of guest for this weekend podcast was an easy one. The fact that Brent does a little Christian ministry on the side is another good reason for him to join us on a Sunday afternoon for a little clear thinking and a common sense message about heaven and hell in a world seemingly hell bent.
Common sense, common law and common talk were always integral with the American system of justice and government of, by, and for the people. That's how we functioned for the first several hundred years and is why we must recapture those standards if we are to survive as a constitutional republic.
I don't want to spoil the fun, so I'll end this by inviting everyone that has never met or heard of Brent Allen Winters to join us for a fun but informative afternoon about the good, the bad, and the ugly of the human condition that few comprehend despite the fact that many of us can technically be classified as also part of the human race. There is a joke that goes: “I'm getting out of the rat race because the rats always seem to win”. I wish that were so with the human race…………….we never seem to win.
