…After all; humans are the ones doing the research, and one might assume they wouldn't do things against humanitarian self interest. That however presupposes that most if not all true scientists have a built in version of the Hippocratic Oath that pledges to do no harm to their fellow man.
When science was an individual or limited group effort back in the good old days, that might have been mostly true, but as government and the military industrial complex became the primary drivers of science for the development of weapons systems………..Katie bar the doors.
Add to that paradigm an unlimited lust for power, greed, professional status and immense egos and we begin to envision the new pseudo-scientific world that evolved from science for humanitarian well being to self induced slavery through technocracy.
Artificial intelligence has added a whole new wrinkle to the shift from the idealistic improvement of the human condition to technological progress at any cost.
Progress can have any number of interpretations depending on perspective. To replace human emotion with absolute logic might be beneficial in some instances, but human emotions also shape important ethical choices that may seem completely illogical to the machine mind.
Although there are some who choose not to believe this; we were created in God's image to give us a uniquely individual soul and the power of discernment to make choices (good and bad) which ultimately give us a clearer understanding and appreciation of divine creation.
It is no accident that technocrats are typically atheists and believe that man is nothing more than just one more biological species with only physiological differences from most other life forms.
This allows them to tinker with life itself and the physical world with impunity. The melding of man and machine into a new life form is a natural next step in the progression of scientific hive mind that holds creation as a evolutionary process, not a holistic spiritual one.
We are nearing a point of no return. The recent rollout and general acceptance of sophisticated AI in conjunction with UN Agenda 2030 sustainability goals incorporating a Malthusian (population reduction) mindset has reduced the value of human life by a frightening degree.
21st Century American public schools and institutions of higher learning openly teach collectivism based on the idea that individuals must always submit to the will of the group for the greater good, including concepts of morality.
Children are being groomed to blindly follow instructions, submit to authority, and accept the will of the group over personal conviction.
Far too many young adults have lost all desire for personal or professional success and spend their lives in a semi-hypnotic state on iPhones or other social media platforms entertaining themselves with games, music videos, and pornography while living as unemployed post-adolescent dependents in their parent's basements.
AI has become a crutch for a rapidly growing number of hive minded underachievers, especially students, allowing AI to replace their natural and learned abilities to write essays, perform mathematical calculations and think creatively.
As they learn to depend on this technology to supplant their acquired abilities, they become complacent, lazy, and eventually unable to think for themselves…..a form of self-imposed slavery, making them a burden on society and justifiably expendable to people predisposed to population reduction through abortion and eugenics.
Recent breakthroughs in advanced technology are opening pathways to part man/part machine beings known as trans-humans that are capable of super human feats not associated with normal humans.
According to some military experts, entire armies, navies, and air forces might soon be populated by cyborg-like beings and robotic weapons systems run by a relative handful of techno-nerds on super computer/AI platforms safely located thousands of miles away. Many of these systems are already being used or are well into the final stages of development.
Science in the wrong hands has become much more lethal than any other time in human history, and at some point every hand but the hand of God is the wrong one.
