While reading the then current literature of the eighties, she noted the contrast between those books and the books she had read as a child. Upon reading more, curiosity then shifted to concern. This spawned a lifetime of research and a resounding cry for parents to look inside the books their children are reading. I thank God every day that I was born at a time that codified personal responsibility, family values, common sense, and a template of American moral responsibility called the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.
As a child living under the golden rule of love thy neighbor and obedience to the Ten Commandments, we couldn't comprehend a society that would condone human trafficking, pedophilia and sexual mutilation aka transgenderism.
As a child of the 50s our days were filled with wonder and the feeling that all good things were possible……and that being born an American was a blessing, not a curse.
As a grandparent living in the new millennium, I realize that much of the world of my youth was illusion, but only because the forces of evil were already so well entrenched and plodding along on their path to the eventual destruction of the American republic.
My Father's generation was crawling with Karl Marx devotees and intellectuals that claimed that God was dead and that paid bureaucrats could do a much better job of running society with sophists and technocrats at the helm.
And……although government has always tended to attract a special sort seeking easy careers with power over others and personal enrichment; the greed and corruptibility seemed to be held at bay by a strong sense of America's role as the moral leader of the civilized world. That changed in a big way with the Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama dynasties.
Gradually we became aware of a new focus of government; global in scale and dependent on acceptance of values and ideas diametrically opposed to the American constitutional framework. Not only was it opposed to our system of government, it was notably anti-Christian and steeped in secular humanism.
Those who noticed this “fundamental transformation” were labled as racists and Christian fundamentalists as a way to neutralize them on the public stage. Meanwhile, our schools, media, government and society at large were convulsing with radical changes that made no sense to most Americans.
Few realized that we were already living under communism with capitalistic characteristics. Globalism started in earnest with President Teddy Roosevelt and the American Progressive Movement at the turn of the 20th Century and has been steadily accelerating ever since.
The Bushes were progressive globalists and the Clintons/ Obamas/Obidens were progressive Marxists, with the American people caught in a vise between 2 false ideologies that left no room for American idealism.
The Power Elite knew that education was the key to mastering a controllable society. If the children could be brainwashed and dumbed down, all future generations would never know what freedom and liberty really meant.
As we have discussed in earlier podcasts, the history of progressive education began in earnest in America under Horace Mann and was normalized under John Dewey in the 1920s and 30s. The 1970s saw a radical transformation of society with Roe v Wade and sex education and abortion on demand reaching into public school systems.
Combined with the banning of prayer in schools and a newly created US Department of Education under Jimmy Carter, public schools became the pawn of politicians and newly formed National Teachers Unions skilled in Frankfurt School Marxist ideology.
Critical thinking and classical liberal education stressing science, math, history and language skills was scrapped for work force training that emphasized specific skill sets for a fully functioning but ill-informed population that could be easily manipulated through a fully controlled media.
Reading became optional with television, video games and smart devices replacing classical literature with violent and pornographic visual stimulation meant to “fundamentally transform” the American dream into a cultural nightmare ready for the plucking.
Children were taught to feel, not to think, and acceptance & cooperation replaced individualism and personal achievement. Literacy levels today are lower than any time in our nations history. Worse yet are the materials being fed to our children by many educators with progressive agendas and skill sets only marginally higher than their students.
FedEd has transformed America from the world leader in education, moving us to the very bottom tier of developed countries while allowing communist countries like China to replace us in many areas of industrial and information technology.
Our choice is clear……..either we stop this evil now or it will end the United States of America as we know it and replace it with a system of technocratic feudalism that feasts on the souls of our children and grandchildren. We have no other choice; we must act now while there is still time!
